Sometimes showing up to church is intimidating. We strive to make sure you feel at home while at Mountain West. We describe ourselves as a grace-filled, multi-ethnic family. We hope the following information will help ease the tension and allow you to "take a peek" into a normal Sunday.
Clothes. That’s the only thing we ask. We are much more concerned about what’s going on inside of a person, than what clothes they wear on the outside. You will see flips and tees to jackets and dresses. Feel free to come as you are.

Our live band usually consists of guitars, drums, and keys. We try to sing songs that are deep in meaning, but easy to understand.

We offer dynamic children services from birth to 5th grade during all three Sunday morning gatherings. The creative environment and experienced teachers will help your children learn about God in a relevant way, as well as offer fun experiences that will help the teaching come alive in their hearts. All our teachers and workers are background checked and everyone must check their child in.

We want you to come and experience a service at Mountain West, and we believe God will speak to your heart, that is our first concern. We have many who call Mountain West home that faithfully support the church and what we are doing in our community. If you like it and want to call it your church home, then we believe giving to God and His church is part of being a Christ-follower. You are invited to participate, but no guilt trips here.

We sure hope not. A life following Jesus should be exciting, fulfilling and rewarding. We strategically plan weekend gatherings to engage your heart, mind and soul. We use music, video, powerful teaching and other experiential elements to help you connect to God in a meaningful way.

We want to make you feel welcome as you put yourself in a position to connect with God. We even provide fresh coffee, pretty comfortable seating, and a casual environment that will set the tone for you to be more focused on God, and less concerned about the atmosphere around you. Our hope is that you will be inspired to take your next step toward God.

So come be our guest! You are always welcome here.
The Growth Track is our process to help you get connected with your life purpose here at Mountain West. On the Growth Track you’ll spend 4 Sundays with us, diving in to what it looks like to know God, to become a church member, to discover your gifts and to get started making a difference. The Growth Track meets every month excluding December and January

Step One - Follow
Learn the spiritual journey that God has for each of us: to follow Jesus personally and publicly. Step 1 is hosted on the first Sunday of every month.

Step 2 - Connect
Explore the ministry of Mountain West Church and find out how to connect and become a member of our church. Step 2 happens on the second Sunday of every month.

Step 3 - Discover
Discover your personality, gift and purpose in life, and see how they indicate your best fit in ministry. Step 3 happens on the third Sunday of every month.

Step 4- Serve
Learn about the opportunities you have at Mountain West Church to live out your purpose and serve others by using your gifts and begin the process of stepping into a ministry of your choice. Meet Mountain West staff and ministry leaders and talk about opportunities to serve in church. Step 4 happens on the fourth Sunday of every month.

Since the Growth Track runs every Sunday of the month you can jump in at any time!

*The Growth Track takes a break in December and will return Sunday, January 10th with Step One.

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is a public declaration that you are a follower of Jesus Christ and that you are beginning a changed life in Christ.

We have Baptism Sundays scheduled regularly throughout the year. To find the next available baptism opportunity or to get more information about baptism, email baptism@mountainwestchurch.com or contact the church office at 770-491-0228.
